Fortress Europe: A Continent Closes its Borders, 2005

Illegal immigration and human trafficking are set to become one of the biggest challenges for the European Union in the coming years. The EU is reacting to this development by imposing stricter controls on its outermost borders and implementing tougher visa regulations. The new European Frontier Defence Agency will put  the new regulations into force as from 2005,. But can Europe ignore the problems of the surrounding countries and their people?
