The 2/3" DVCPRO Camcorder features three 600,000 pixel CCD image sensors. It is exceptionally sensitive (2,000 lux at f13) and enables shooting with a minimum illumination as low as 0.01 lux.
With a microport slot as a standard accessory, the camcorder also features five P2 slots for recording, two others for a wireless LAN connection and an SD Memory Card, as well as USB2 interface.
With the P2 Card available at its launch, users will be able to seamlessly record up to 80 minutes of video and audio signals in the DVCPRO format. Using a WLAN card they will also be able to send low-resolution proxy video signals to their newsroom for immediate browsing.
For the first time, continuous recording and processing of original material will become a reality during news acquisition. And because the P2 Card has no moving parts, it does not wear out or generate acoustic noise.
Accessories such as viewfinders, batteries and interfaces are identical to those already DVCPRO50 camcorders.
